Croppy Saturday!

I attended a crop on Saturday with my good friend, Esther! :) We had a blast. Here's what I created:


I used Stampin' Up's new Mini Treat Bag thinlits die along with CTMH's Brushed paper packet. I'm going to put some tasty treats in them for Valentine's Day.

Also, Picture My Life-esque cards for my healthy workplace bulletin board at work! They are all made using CTMH stamps from various sets. I love the way they turned out. They are just simple cards, meant to brighten someone's day.

I think it looks good. One of my work colleagues approached me today and commented on how nice it was, and how she may take a couple of the cards for herself! Made my day :)

Merry Christmas Slimline

I did another card from this week's  Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge  (sketch #469). This time, I did a Christmas card! I used Gina K's woodgraining technique (you can find a tutorial here ). I also used Distress Frosted Crystal embossing powder; here's a close-up of the effect: For the snowflakes and the sentiment, I cut the shapes out twice and glued them together to make them thicker. You Did It!

It has been awhile since I participated in the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge , so yesterday I popped on to see what the sketch was this week. I need a graduation card for my niece who is graduating from elementary school this June, so I thought I'd allow this sketch to give me inspiration! This is what I came up with:  I made it in the school colours (red and gray).  This is also (I think) the first time I've ever made a slimline card. I like how it turned out! Supplies: Cardstock: Recollections Black and Gold Foil; SU! Inspiration from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge : My Interpretation : Supplies : Stamps: CTMH Finding the Words Ink: SU! Crumb Cake Embossing Folder: SU! Lucky Stars Paper: CTMH Year>>Noted paper pack Etc: Flowers (I have no idea!), Michaels Adhesive Crackle Dots (Island Time) Thanks for looking!! :) ----------------------------------------------------------- Second thoughts (on Wednesday!)... I reworked the card a bit. Added a bigger circle and moved the flower down. I think they both look good. Just playing around with the design a little more.
