AHSC #109

Inspiration from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge : Interpretation : My favourite part of this card is the coffee cup. I love the paper piecing and the way the 3D tape just pops it up!  (Sorry about the quality of the pic... left it to the last minute!) Supplies and stuff : Paper - CTMH Taste of Summer paper pack, CTMH White Daisy and Pixie cardstock, Dollarama chocolate cardstock Die cuts - Spellbinders Labels Four Embossing Folder - CTMH Chevron Stamp set - CTMH Treats of Friendship Sequins - Dollarama Inks - SU! Melon Mambo, CTMH black Misc - 3D foam tape

AHSC #108

At work today, I found out that my friend's dog was killed by an impaired driver over the weekend. She cried when she told me, and then we both cried together :( So sad. Tonight, when I thought about doing this week's sketch challenge (over at AHSC ), I wanted to make her a card to let her know I was thinking of her.  It's tough to lose a pet, no matter what - but I knew these two were the best of friends. Inspiration:  Interpretation: I used PML Skylark for the sentiment and block of patterned paper and a Recollections doily.  The ribbon is from SU! Everyday Enchantment Organdy in Lucky Limeade. I used White Daisy cardstock for the base, and (Dollarama?!) chocolate brown that I embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots.  I also distressed the edges with the CTMH edge distresser.

Quick Card on a gorgeous Saturday!!

I made a quick 3x3 center step "thank-you" card. Using the Jackson paper pack (current fave), with barn red, colonial white and glacier card stock. Also used the stamp set "Finding the Words" and glacier extra thick twine (which I am also LOVING!). I usually cut out the card bases in advance, so I only have to embellish them when I need them. Happy Saturday! :)

AHSC #107

I'm participating in the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge again this week...pop on over and see what it's all about.  This is the inspiration:  And this is my interpretation:  I used the Jackson paper pack and Picture My Life cards again (sorry!) but I needed to make a masculine birthday card. The stamp I used was CTMH's Finding the Words (LOVE this one!) and I also used some Oceanside Sequins. The zip strip was a leftover from my last AHSC card :) Victoria Day Weekend - cannot wait to get out and work on the yard this weekend!! If it's nice out, I don't want to spend too much time inside. But, I'd like to get my scrappy room more organized too. Have a fabulous weekend!
