Is it too early to get ready for Christmas?

Happy Monday!

Just thought I'd share some Christmas cards that I made on the weekend. The snow man image is from CTMH's "Flakey Friends" stamp set and the sentiment is from the Pear and Partridge card-making kit stamp set (both from the Fall/Winter 2012 Idea Book). I used Spellbinders Labels Four, Swiss dots embossing folder, Michael's silver ribbon, and a bunch of miscellaneous card stock. I can't remember who the patterened paper is by, but I will check when I get home!

This year, I intend on making my Christmas cards well in advance, so I have time to do them right! And maybe sell a few on the side! :)

Merry Christmas Slimline

I did another card from this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (sketch #469). This time, I did a Christmas card! I used Gina K's woodgraining technique (you can find a tutorial here ). I also used Distress Frosted Crystal embossing powder; here's a close-up of the effect: For the snowflakes and the sentiment, I cut the shapes out twice and glued them together to make them thicker. You Did It!

It has been awhile since I participated in the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge , so yesterday I popped on to see what the sketch was this week. I need a graduation card for my niece who is graduating from elementary school this June, so I thought I'd allow this sketch to give me inspiration! This is what I came up with: I made it in the school colours (red and gray). This is also (I think) the first time I've ever made a slimline card. I like how it turned out! I reworked the card a bit. Added a bigger circle and moved the flower down. I think they both look good. Just playing around with the design a little more.
