New catalogues mean new creations!

*Drum roll please!*

The first card I made was my first watercolour card with CTMH watercolours. I'm enjoying learning new watercolour techniques. Thanks, YouTube! :)

My cards also showcase the National Stamping Month stamp collections: Hello, Life. There are 3 different C-sized sets, designed for Scrapbooking, Pocket Scrapbooking and Cardmaking. As you can see, I've used all three sets on my cards. These sets are only available for the month of September, and you can purchase them for $16.50 a piece, or you can get the entire collection for $41.50 (a savings of $8 when you buy all 3).

Supplies:
CTMH Hello, Life - Cardmaking and Pocket Scrapbooking stamp sets
CTMH Ink Blot stamp set
CTMH Glacier cardstock
CTMH Watercolours
Fabriano Hot Press Watercolor paper
Top Boss Tinted Embossing stamp pad
Recollections Gold Detail embossing powder
CTMH Glacier Extra Thick Twine (I love this twine!)
Dollarama colour staples
CTMH gold polka dot washi tape (retired!)

For my second card I used the Hello, Life scrapbooking set. I think all three of these sets are so versatile. There is something for every kind of paper crafter.

This time, I used the CTMH watercolours, but I did not use watercolour paper. I used a minimal amount of paint giving the camera a sort of washed-out look.

Supplies:
CTMH Hello, Life scrapbooking set
CTMH Say It All set
CTMH watercolours
CTMH Hopscotch paper pack (retired - just using up some scraps!)
CTMH Glacier Extra Thick twine, cardstock and ink
CTMH Colonial White cardstock
Top Boss Tinted Embossing stamp pad
Judi-Kins Embossing powder, black detail

And the next batch of cards I made for my preview showcase the Ink Blot stamp set. I used Ink Blot in my first card, but it was very subtle. In these cards, Ink Blot is front and centre. I love, love, love this stamp set. It is quickly becoming one of my favourites.

Supplies:
CTMH Ink Blot stamp set
CTMH Hello, Life scrapbooking, pocket scrapbooking, and cardmaking sets
CTMH Pacifica, Buttercup, Cotton Candy, and Lagoon inks
CTMH White Daisy cardstock
CTMH Paper Fundamentals, Adventure Assortment (retired. Have not ordered the new stuff yet, but I love Paper Fundamentals!)

Stay tuned for cards made with September's Stamp of the Month, Paper Garden! :)

Merry Christmas Slimline

I did another card from this week's  Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge  (sketch #469). This time, I did a Christmas card! I used Gina K's woodgraining technique (you can find a tutorial here ). I also used Distress Frosted Crystal embossing powder; here's a close-up of the effect: For the snowflakes and the sentiment, I cut the shapes out twice and glued them together to make them thicker. I'm participating in the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop .  My card is does not have a Spring/Summer theme - but it's never too early for Christmas, right? Last year, I started my Christmas cards in January - this year, I waited until yesterday to make my first Christmas card.  I just haven't been feeling the Christmas vibe so far this year. You Did It!

It has been awhile since I participated in the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge , so yesterday I popped on to see what the sketch was this week. I need a graduation card for my niece who is graduating from elementary school this June, so I thought I'd allow this sketch to give me inspiration! This is what I came up with:  I made it in the school colours (red and gray).  This is also (I think) the first time I've ever made a slimline card. I like how it turned out!
