Coworker Mini Treat Bags

Super quick treats for my coworkers on Halloween! I made 12 in less than an hour. More like 30 minutes. I just wanted a little something to wish them a happy Halloween, so they are definitely not fancy. I used Spellbinders Labels Four, and I inked the edge of the die cut with CTMH black ink. I used a variety of stamps: CTMH's Frightfully Fun (happy halloween sentiment); the Spooktacular and the BOO! are from Michaels $1.50 bins, and the ghost and boo are from a stamp set by Recollections. Used some baker's twine from Recollections and also SU! Cajun Craze ink. I also used CTMH's mini stapler to affix the tags to the bags. I LOVE that tool! My mini treat bags are filled with Jelly Belly's candy corn. My coworkers were excited to see these land on their desks this morning!

Halloween Treat Boxes 2015

Some of you may recall my Halloween treat cups from last year (see them here ). I loved making them, giving them out and the reception they got: I hand a little girl a treat cup. She looks at it, then at me. "Uhm...I'm not sure my parents will let me drink coffee." I laughed and said, "That's ok, there are treats inside!" Now this year, I have to say, I don't *love* my treat boxes as much as I did last year's treat cups. But I do think they are cute.  I did use the same stamp set as last year, CTMH's Frightfully Fun (and I will use it well into the future because I think it's stinking cute!) I also used the same paper from a Recollections Halloween paper chain kit, because I the kit came with so much of it. And it was the exact right size for the bands on the pillow boxes. The pillow boxes were from Dollarama. They came 8 in a package for $1.25! I picked them up over the summer, and good thing too - I haven'...

Sangria!

I bought the Sangria paper pack without being entirely sold on it. But this card came out really cute! I stamped the cake on one of the B&T papers in Eggplant ink and I love the effect. Tags, tags, tags

I haven't been feeling too well for the past couple days, but I couldn't let that keep me from being creative! So I created a few simple tags, mostly for Christmas. I used the October Stamp of the Month Twinkle and the stamp set from the White Pines cardmaking workshop. It's my usual colour combination - Cranberry, Olive and the White Pine B&T. I got the tags at Michael's in the $1.50 bins - 16 kraft tags and twine! I also used my Swiss Dots embossing folder, and a sparkly holly berry sticker! For these tags, I wanted to show how versatile a "Christmas" stamp could be. Two tags are Christmas, using the White Pines cardmaking workshop stamp set and the one in the middle could be for any occasion! Just by changing the colour scheme and the sentiment you can make a stamp work for virtually any occasion. Left: Used Pacifica, Whisper and Glacier inks. And for the sentiment I used Handlettered Christmas. Center: Used Cashmere, Pomegranate and Eggp...

World Card Making Day 2015

Since it is a little rainy outside, I decided to stay inside and hunker down in my craft room and make some cards, in celebration of World Card Making Day. I'll start with a couple of cards that I made with Twinkle, the October Stamp of the Month from CTMH.  They are both pretty simple. I random stamped the December 25 stamp, with Pacifica and Glacier ink, and inked the edges with Glacier. I also used Whisper ink to do the stars. I used silver shimmer trim, Glacier and White Daisy cardstock. The sentiment is CTMH Say It All. I also used a Bitty Sparkle on the sentiment. The second card was made using White Colonial, Cranberry and Olive cardstock. The "Merry Christmas" sentiment was made using the Artiste Cricut cartridge.  I embossed the Olive cardstock using the SU! Lucky Star embossing folder, but you really can't notice it, since there is not much of the cardstock showing. I used a Bitty Sparkle, and CTMH Cranberry, Olive and SU! Chocolate Chip inks. I t...
