stamped with tlc

I'm participating in my first sketch challenge over at Atlantic Hearts . Here's the inspiration: And here's my very simple interpretation: I used my new Jackson Picture My Life and Paper Packet. I cut the quote out from one of the PML cards and used one of the zip strips on the B&T patterned paper. I used CTMH Barn Red cardstock, embossing about 3/4 of the page with the Provocraft Script  embossing folder. The card base is CTMH Glacier cardstock. I used a sanding block to distress the embossed portion of the cardstock and the CTMH Edge Distresser on the edges of my card. I usually stamp on my cards, so this was a nice change of pace for me. I love incorporating PML into my projects because it is just super easy! I wasn't sure how I felt about the Jackson collection, but now that I see it in action, I am a fan. Thanks for looking! :)

Just a quick little Easter project for my work colleagues! I used Wilton's baking cups - just one for each basket. Depending on the thickness of baking cups you use, you might need more than one. I used CTMH White Daisy cardstock for the handles (approx. 5.5" in length - I didn't really measure the width, so you can tell that some are wider than others).  I attached the handles with some coloured staples (thank you Dollarama!)  I got 20 of these done in less than a half an hour. Also, you could glam these up with flowers or bling on the handle! Or ribbon, or baker's twine, or... hey, the possibilities are endless! I put some chocolate eggs, cookies n creme eggs and little chocolate/caramel bunnies and nests in the baskets. They are super quick and easy, but most of all appreciated by my co-workers! :)

I attended a crop on Saturday with my good friend, Esther! :) We had a blast. Here's what I created: I used Stampin' Up's new Mini Treat Bag thinlits die along with CTMH's Brushed paper packet. I'm going to put some tasty treats in them for Valentine's Day. Also, Picture My Life-esque cards for my healthy workplace bulletin board at work! They are all made using CTMH stamps from various sets. I love the way they turned out. They are just simple cards, meant to brighten someone's day.  Here's my healthy workplace board: I think it looks good. One of my work colleagues approached me today and commented on how nice it was, and how she may take a couple of the cards for herself! Made my day :)

(Sorry for the glare on the pic! Still taking Smartphone pics...) I am not generally a fan of pre-fab card kits. I don't know if that makes me a "handmade card snob" but I don't care. I love designing cards from scratch. It is my preference. That being said, I did order CTMH's Cut Above Christmas card kit (Z2064) and the coordinating Merriest Christmas stamp set (B1468). I decided to put the cards together last night, while watching television. Included in the kit are : 10 – 7" × 5" Printed Card Bases (very nice quality!) 10 – Printed Banners 10 – Colonial White Deer 10 – Red Sparkles 12 – 3-D Foam Squares 10 – Glitter Paper Pieces 10 – Coordinating Envelopes 4 yards Red and White Baker's Twine (more than enough to make the 10 cards!) Supplies I used (in addition to what was in the kit): - Adhesive : I used Liquid Glass (Z679) to adhere Rudolph to the glitter cardstock, as I find most other adhesives don't hold well to the glitte...

I attended an all-day crop on Saturday, so I had to have a fun project to work on. The majority of my cardmaking supplies are currently in storage... so I had to make a quick trip to Michael's to get some of my supplies for this project. I decided to make Halloween treat cups. Inspired by some Pinterest projects I have seen, this is what I came up with: I got the coffee cups at Dollarama (package of 10 for $2). I peeled the brown wraps that they came with off (easily), and covered them with my own cardstock/patterned paper. I just traced the outline of the wrap and cut the card stock to fit. I was very lucky that a fellow CTMH consultants let me borrow their Halloween stamp sets to complete the project: Eek and Shriek (B1429); Halloween Greeting (D1605); Creepy Creatures (C1522); and Frightfully Fun (B1453). I absolutely LOVE the Frightfully Fun set. The "greetings" are too cute and the images are fantastic for colouring. On page 41 of Annual Inspirations...

Just finished working on my For Always card kit...about a year after I got it... :) I cut out all the pieces when I first got the kit... but I was so wrapped up in other projects that I just never got around to stamping and putting the cards together! I love how the smokey plum looks with For Always. Glad I got an extra paper pack when it was available. I'm very excited about the new CTMH Annual Inspirations catalogue. Not-so-patiently waiting for July 1st and the consultant preview period! :) I do know that we have new markers, all NEW paper packs, and a brand new Cricut cartridge!!! 192 pages of paper crafting awesomeness! I'm disappointed that the Canadian prices have to increase...but it's understandable. 10% is not that bad... AND the good thing is that for a $50 order, you still qualify for the Stamp of the Month, so that threshold is not increasing. I can't wait to make some Christmas cards with the new stamps and papers! That is always what excites me m...

It's definitely the most wonderful time of the year! :) I like the smells of Christmas... cinnamon and spices, Christmas trees, candy canes... mmmm. I like going Christmas shopping (early!)... finding the perfect gifts for my loved ones. I like decorating the tree and the house, indoors and out. I like wrapping presents and making them pretty. And I definitely love watching Christmas movies... It's a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street (the old one!), Love, Actually...the list goes on... I'm pumped to be finished with the bulk of my Christmas shopping. It feels so good. Next step...wrapping! :) I also like creating Christmas cards. It takes me a long time to design just the right cards, even though they are simple.
