One Sheet Wonder - Hello Lovely-style!

I was looking for something to do today since my other half is working and I have to the house to myself (except for the dog, who is very needy and loves his cuddles), so I decided to do my first One Sheet Wonder cards. I did not realize how many templates for One Sheet Wonders there are - wow! So, if you are interested in OSW, but not the template I used, never fear! Because there are about a million and a half more out there. Google is your friend. OSW does not mean you don't use other products (at least in my eyes it doesn't) - it just means you use one sheet of patterned paper to make all of your cards. So that being said, I will be using the  CTMH Workshop Your Way Hello Lovely kit  - so I may use some ribbon and embellishments from that kit. But, I will only be using one piece of the patterned paper.  I will also be using CTMH White Daisy cardstock for my card bases, and probably some CTMH Sea Glass cardstock and glitter paper (as you might have guessed, I ha...

AHSC #199 - Coffee on a snow day?

Happy Monday everyone!! 😃  Since it is a snow day here, I had some time to check out the AHSC sketch super early. This is the sketch : And this is my take on the sketch: I went to Michael's on Saturday and I purchased  this  Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations coffee stamp/die/embossing folder combination. Anyone who knows me, knows I love my coffee, so it was the perfect set to spend my Christmas gift card on (and when you have a 50% off coupon, how can you say no?!) I freakin' LOVE how it turned out! It's been awhile since I was SO in love with a card! :) I inked up the embossing folder with SU! Chocolate Chip ink. Pink and brown (particularly the Chocolate Chip colour are one of my favourite colour combinations... so I had to find some pink paper in my vast paper collection. I finally settled on CTMH's retired Ivy Lane collection (another that I have not used because I think it is too pretty! Yes. I am a hoarder.) The little heart sticker in th...

AHSC #198: Playing with Retired Regatta!

This is the sketch for this week's challenge over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge : And this is my interpretation of the sketch: I used a paper envelope that I purchased at Dollarama and I made my own sentiment insert. The paper envelopes are 10 for $1.25! striped, chevron and polka dots in at least 4 different colours - but every package just has one colour and pattern per package. The paper pack I used was CTMH Regatta. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. I think I used it for one card before today. I find I do that; I love a paper pack and then don't want to use it because I love it so much...which entirely defeats the purpose.  No one is going to enjoy it being stored in my wardrobe!! :) I even used the zip strip on one of the patterned papers for the "Nothing but blue skies ahead" sentiment.  I love the wave pattern on the paper I chose for the banner-shaped piece. I popped up the red stripes on the lighthouse using foam dimensionals... ju...

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #197

My first AHSC of the year - also my first in awhile! :) I had a need for a Get Well card this weekend, so I decided to use this week's sketch for the card. Check out the sketch : And now check out my interpretation of the sketch: I think that the two swirly wreath-like shapes from SU! Swirly scribbles look like a rose - which pairs perfectly with CTMH's Hello Lovely paper pack.  I cut out 1 of each in a patterned paper from Hello Lovely, and then 3 of each in White Daisy cardstock. I wanted my rose to have a layered look, so I used CTMH Liquid Glass randomly between the layers. You can't see the layers well from the angle of the picture, but I thought it came out kinda cool! Supplies : Stamps: SU! Teeny Tiny Wishes Paper: CTMH Hello Lovely, CTMH White Daisy and Sea Glass cardstock, CTMH Sea Glass Glitter paper Dies: SU! Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Embellishments: CTMH Hello Lovely Complements, CTMH Gold Glitter Gems Adhesive: CTMH Liquid Glass Thanks ...
