"I'm dreaming of a white...Christmas card!"

So, I went with the gold embossing on the circle (stamp: The Sounding Joy, Stampin' Up!), and popped it up with some dimensionals. I am happy-ish with the card... although I think it will take a little tweaking to find something I'm super happy with. Back to the drawing board! :) I should add that this card was inspired by this week's Mojo Monday sketch.

"Help! I need somebody. Help! Not just anybody..."

Ok so, I'm trying my hand at a white-on-white Christmas card. (Sorry for the poor quality pic...I'm just using my phone for right now...) But now I'm stuck. Where do I go from here?  I want to stamp on the circle. What colour? A friend of mine suggested changing the pearl out for something gold, and doing some gold embossed stamped image or greeting. I'll probably try that first... but if any of you out in the blog-o-sphere have any ideas...leave a comment and let me know what they are! I would appreciate any feedback. I love everything about this card though. Especially the fancy flourishes! I think they add so much to the card. Supplies : White card stock: Recollections Punch: Fiskars Threading Water Dies: Layered Poinsetta and Standard Circles, Spellbinders; Fancy Flourish, Die-Namics; Top Note Die, Stampin' Up! Pearl: Recollections Embossing folder: Basic Grey Figgy Pudding "Flowers" Have a fab day! :)

"I want an official Red Ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle!"

I went to Card Club last night, hoping that we would make some Christmas cards. And (yay!) 2 of the 3 cards we made were Christmas-y! :)  I'm not responsible for any of the design work, these are just make and take deals. But I think they are beautiful! All are made using Stampin' Up! materials. I really loved the sympathy card; it was simple to do (using overhead sheets with the squares precut and then rubbing ink on) but just so pretty. I also love the "bright and beautiful" one. The colours were ones I would not have picked for a Christmas card (River Rock and Elegant Eggplant) but together they make a really beautiful card. I am SUPER pumped to go to my hometown this weekend, not just to see the fam but also for a special scrapbook/card-making event. Kristy, from the Scrapbooking Cafe Online , will be there to keep us in plenty of supplies!  I've been excited about this ever since it was announced MONTHS ago! I've already got an order in to Kristy f...

C'est l'Halloween, hey!

Treats for my favourite little tricksters! I found these awesome Dollarama paper treat bags, but I just wanted to add something special. This is my first project using my new Top Note die (that I've had for a few months now).  I think they all turned out really cute...for a first time!  Supplies : Top Note die, Stampin Up Cardstock, Recollections Vampire, Haunted House and Boo! stamps, Michael's (you know, those random little $1.50 stamps :)) Letter stickers, various  Treat Bags, Dollarama Velcro tabs, Dollarama I have all of my regular treat bags full of such things as... Hershey's Halloween Drops, Angry Bird gummies, Halloween plastic rings, Spiderman candy sticks, Cadbury Screme Eggs...and much more! This is my very first time putting together my own Halloween treat bags, so I quite possibly overdid it :) Plus dbf bought some chips ("We have to get Doritos, not chips. I want to be the cool house that has Doritos!" says dbf). That's all for n...

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

It looks like I was busy on Thanksgiving Weekend! Since it was World Card-Making Day, I just had to celebrate by creating a little Christmas magic. Christmas cards are my favourite cards to make. And to be truthful, I make them all year round. I love love love the Sizzix Flip-It Square die! (Haven't seen it yet? Click here for a little taste of what you can do). I got it as soon as it came into the Scrapbooking Cafe Online ). The first time my boyfriend saw one of my Flip-It cards, I thought he was humoring me, but he was in awe of the card, and how it flipped. He said, "Is this what we went down to Ingramport for?" I nodded. "Well then," he said, "it was totally worth it!" He played with the Christmas cards I made yesterday for a good 2 minutes, watching the way the flip. Open. Close. Open. Close. Yep...typical man! Amused by the little things in life! :) Supplies : Sizzix Flip-It Square Die Very Vanilla and Gumball Green card stock, Be of...
